The idea is to get photos of you that trapped in your friends' phone and to give photos to your friends which photos are trapped on your phone.
Most of the time what happen when you are gathering with your friends are all of you taking photos here and there and that's it, you never share it and so does your friends, so those photos are trapped inside the phones.

Now with moments and facebook auto-face detection algorithm, it will help you identify whoever in the photos and prompt you to sync the photos with that person.

If your friends don't have moments yet, the photos with link will be sent to their Facebook messenger.

Then if you are wondering, what is the difference between Moments and the real Facebook, since the real Facebook also can do the same, share photos and tag them?
Well I'm not really heavy Facebook user, so I don't really know Facebook latest functionalities and features, but what I notice are:

• Whatever photos share in Moments, they are private between you and the one you share

• They just photo albums with photos, no link, no post, no groups, except comments between you and the one you share to
• No menu, no settings. Just add photos button

So I can say, it's simplified version of Facebook and a new place for you to share your private moments with anybody you care for.

iTranslate, just like its app name suggested, is for translating one language to another language.
According to the app store description, the app supports translating over 90+ language.
It can translate not only words but also phrases and sentences.

Compared to other language translation app such as Google Translate, this app uniqueness is in the voice output where you can configure to be a male/female voice, slower or faster when saying the words/sentences, even you can configure the dialect if the language support it.

So if you want to know how a British female voice and accent compare to American female voice and accent when saying something, or if you would like to know how "good morning" is spoken in Spain Spanish, compared to American Spanish and Mexican Spanish, you can check it using this app.

However, unlike its competitor, Google Translate which is totally free, iTranslate has premium option where in order to input your voice to be translated, you have to unlock it using the in-app purchase as part of the premium program.

Pac-Man game has been re-invented for mobile!
The new Pac-Man game, Pac-Man 256, is a combination of the original Pac-Man game plus endless and hurry element from Crossy Road game or game with similar genre.

Yes, you read it right, Pac-Man 256 featuring endless maze with a glitch that coming from the bottom of the maze, so while you won't run out of pellet to eat and can go anywhere you can, you have to be hurry to not getting caught or stuck at the glitch. The glitch itself is somekind of program error that eating out your Pac-Man maze board.

Gameplay is still the same with the original with some new added elements. Eat all the pellet you find during your run, eat also any cherries, or other fruits that appear on the game, avoid the ghosts and only approach them whenever you have swallowed the power pellet (big white pellet) where the ghosts are turning dark blue.

One new elements is that if you can continuously eat the pellet and making combo of 256, a surprise will be given to you.

[FREE iPHONE APP] Go-Jek: Uber For Indonesia & (One of) Solution for Jakarta Heavy Traffic Jam

Last week I was on holiday to Jakarta - the capital city of Indonesia. For those who wondering why I didn't write anything on my blog these past few days, that's because I was on holiday.
As you may probably knew already, Jakarta is one of the city in the world with worst traffic jam, so even to reach point A to point B with distance of 10KM, if you happen to stuck at the traffic jam, it can take an hour or even more!

That's where I found Go-Jek, Indonesia's version of Uber, - however instead of car they use motorcycle - to be very helpful. For those who don't know also, ojek is Indonesia native language for motorcycle taxi.
Even though Uber itself exists in the Indonesia capital city, but due to the heavy traffic jam, taking uber with you will get you nowhere but stuck. Go-Jek since they are using motorcycle to move around, so they can quite easily get pass through the traffic jam.

The fee is also considerably cheap. Moreover, they are now - as of August 2015, having promotion, where if you traveling around the Jakarta city, the cost to get you around is just IDR 15,000 (~US$1.2) for every 25KMs. For other cities, the promotional cost is IDR 10,000 (US$0.9) for every 25KMs. Awesome!

The app is pretty much the same as Uber app - if you ever used Uber before - select point to pick you up, then select your destination. You can even pay the driver with cash in case you don't have any credits with you and the app is in English - great for you who can't speak Bahasa Indonesia.

 

Go-Jek provides more services compared to Uber. Go-Jek has courier delivery services to deliver goods from one point to another point, food delivery services to deliver your lunch to your home/office, and shopping services where they will shop for you and deliver the goodies to you and pay after you receive the goodies. Fantastic!

One drawback is that Jakarta is super hot and dusty during the dry season. So if you can't really stand out in the hot sunny day then Go-Jek is not for you. Another drawback is that you can't really use Go-Jek when the rain season is coming, unless you are okay to get wet.

Just like Uber, Go-Jek is also giving away credits to those share about Go-Jek. They give IDR 50,000 (US$4) for both the one sharing the code and the one use the share code - FYI, IDR 50,000 is more than enough for traveling the whole Jakarta city in 1 day as IDR 15,000 is equal to 25KMs. Therefore, I would like to give my code here, so both of us can get IDR 50,000 to be used for Go-Jek whenever I or you visit Jakarta. [FREE iPHONE GAME] Angry Birds 2: Finally The Sequel To The Famous Slingshot Game

Finally the real sequel to the famous bird slingshot game: Angry Birds 2.
Like the original Angry Birds game, the 2nd sequel of the game maintain the original gameplay: to slingshot the birds to the pig enemy. However, the 2nd sequel comes with bunch of additional new features.

Birds and their unique abilities
Now, all the birds have their name already and in the 2nd sequel, each really has their unique ability to be used in the right moment right time - now you can choose which bird to slingshot. Red with his cry ability, Blue with his ability to easily crush ice, chuck - the yellow bird with his ability to easily crush anything from wood, matilda - the white bird with his ability to drop a bomb and many more characters. So if you find the obstacles are made from wood, choosing Chuck to be slingshot, is the right choice and will have the best impact.

Now they have Spells
In the 2nd sequel also, Rovio - the maker of Angry Birds, introduce a spell (can be found on level 11 onward), which basically will help you to eliminate the piggies. One of the spell I have found is the golden duck. When you activate the spell by slingshot it, the golden duck will turn into raining ducks, which rain on top of the piggies and then explode.

Level and Stages
The leveling now follows Candy Crush Saga model, instead of seeing just the level number, now you see each level in a pathway.
Each and every level itself may contain more than one stage - minimum 1 level contains 2 stages, so you have to choose which bird to slingshot carefully.

Piggies Boss
On every level of multiples of 5, you will meet the piggies boss.

Defeat him by crushing him with bricks, let him fall from heights, throw him into abyss.

So...
I, myself, find Angry Birds 2 is a fun and challenging game to play. It's a must have and must play game for this week. It's FREE by the way.

Even though is free to play, this game offers in-app purchases to buy gems which can be used to revive your birds.
This game can be played offline/without internet access, however when first time start the game, the game needs to download some content from the server, so first time the game needs an internet connection and subsequent play does not need to.

[FREE iPHONE APP] Better Fonts - Type and Send Cute and Cool Fonts To Your Buddies!

Better Fonts is a keyboard app with so many cute and cools fonts on it.
Once installed, open the app and go to "Keyboard Setup" for tutorial on how to setup the keyboard.
Follow the instruction to set it up.

There are 2 versions of this app: pro and free. The pro version was previously became free.
However as of now, it's now become paid app again. So, I'll review the free version instead.

The FREE version is basically same with the pro version except some fonts are locked and you get to see 3rd party ads. The ads are somehow a bit irritating because when trying to close the ads by pressing the 'x' button, the ads redirect me to safari and in the end to App Store.

Back to topic. Once you managed to setup the keyboard and change to use Better Fonts keyboard, it will show you 4 menus: (from left to right): fonts, keyboard skin selector, emoji keyboard and the keyboard itself.

As you can see from the screenshot below, on the FREE version, some of the fonts are locked.
However, the FREE version should be enough for you to send cute and cool messages to your friends and buddies.

Here is the sample message I created using Better Fonts keyboard app:

Better Fonts compatible with iOS 7.0 and up, however on iOS 7.x, you can't use Better Fonts as a keyboard, since only on iOS 8.0, Apple is allowing 3rd party keyboard to be installed. On iOS 7.x, you can still get the same cute and cool fonts using the in-app design menu inside the app itself.
