Even tough as we know today, there are plentiful of messaging apps out there, there are still new messaging apps being introduced. Quickie is one of them.

What's unique in Quickie when you already have tons of messaging apps in your phone?
You don't just do normal messaging ritual like chatting by typing the words or by sending audio messages, but you can also sketch or draw something and send it to them.
You can also create and share you animated selfies.

With Quickies, messages are directly sent to the recipient once you finished typing. So it's just like real conversation, no editing, no re-thinking. Once you finished typing, it will be sent directly without pressing any send button.

Messages will also disappear within 24 hours.

The creator of Quickie built this app with the intention of helping you get more connected with people that matter: your closest friends, therefore Quickie only allowing you to add up to 8 friends for more private and intimate connection with these people you care most about. So choose wisely!

Today FREE APP is Midpic - Unveil your pic to those who deserve it.

Midpic is intended for sharing selfies photos to friends or anybody.

When you send, the other end will receive your photos in half, the rest half of your photo is blurred. Your friend or anybody on the other end, need to send photo as well first.

Once you got his photo (also) in half, you can see whether it's worth to trade photo with him or not. You can choose to accept or decline.
If accepted, then you can see his other half photo, and your friends also can see the other half  photo of you.  And that's why the app is called Midpic.

Once the photo is unveiled, it will disappear.
So this app, I can say,  is a feature combination from Snapchat and Facebook Slingshot plus the 'half' mode.

Today FREE APP is Tiiny - Share Tiny Photos & Looping Videos.

Another Snapchat like app, but Tiiny is using a bit different concept. Instead of directly removed images and videos right after seeing (depends on how many times you set people can see), Tiiny will keep your images and videos for 24 hours before later remove them.
Your pics will be shown as tiny tile images and can't be enlarged.
Upload as many images and videos as you like. They will be removed after 24 hours.

[FREE APP] [iOS] Confide - Off The Record messenger

Today FREE APP is Confide.

Confide is off-the-record messenger. The text message sent will disappear forever after they are read.

The app also prevents you from taking screenshot by using swipe-to-reveal method where you need to swipe your screen in order to be able to read the message. Clever!

This app also features end-to-end encryption, making the chat is private and you will have read receipts once the message sent is read.

Work just like iMessage, Confide can send to any email address or phone numbers as long as they have Confide as well.

This app is one step further compared to SnapChat and Slingshot because of the swipe to reveal method preventing others to take screenshot of the message.

[FREE APP] [iOS] SLINGSHOT By Facebook | Facebook's Slingshot

Today FREE APP is a new app for sharing photos from Facebook, named Slingshot.

It is pretty much similar to the already famous photo-sharing app, Snapchat.

After installing the app and when first time open, it will grant you will the following messages:







Yes! pretty much the same as Snapchat, except in Slingshot, it requires us, the user, to have something in return, photos/videos to able to see photos/videos from someone else.

In order to able using the app, you will need to provide your contact number which is according to the privacy policy is used for searching your friends and for your friends to search you via the contact number.
Other than contact number, you can also use your facebook account to find friends and for friends to find you or you can send sms to them asking to join Slingshot.

After providing the contact number, Facebook will send a SMS to it to confirm the number, so you will need to provide a correct contact number.


Contact number is a requirement to start with.

Slingshot main interface is the camera app with options to use flash and selfie.
Click on the selfie button to take selfie photos with the front camera.


First time, you will only have Slingshot crew as your friend.
And you have 3 items locked waiting you.
As what the "feature" says, you need to send the sling first before able to your someone sling
So take photos/videos, then send him your sling.

Once sent, now the locked items will be available for you to see.

Some options available:

1. Share location on photos
2. Get notifications when someone slings you
3. Enable sync phone contacts

And another feature of Slingshot is, it allows you to draw something on the photos first before sending it to your slingshot contacts.

Pros and cons for version 1.0.1
Pros:

1. Nothing really fancy, pretty much the same as Snapchat, but the feature that disallowing people to see your shot unless the send something in return is good so at least you know that you will get reply if they want to see your shot.

Cons:

1. Only available for iOS 7 and up. Those using 3GS and below will not be able to use this app.
