As the name of this app suggested, this app is a messenger that secures your calls, encrypted from end to end - nothing changed & nothing to do from your end except making calls like you're used to.
Signal uses your normal phone number - just like WhatsApp - to make and receive calls, so you don't need to register a new ID whatsoever.
Signal works both under WiFi or 3G/4G.
Signal is FREE and open source, enables anyone to verify its security by auditing the code.
Current version 1.0.2 requires iOS 7.0 or later. Compatible with the following iOS devices:
- iPhone 4 and up
- iPod Touch 5th Gen and up
- iPad 2 and up
